Biography of David Osborn Sen., 1860-1893.

Photocopy of handwritten journal of David Osborn. The journal was started by Osborn in 1860 at the age of 53. He gives a history of his life to that time, and continues with entries at various intervals, from a month to year, until his death in 1893. His son David, wrote an account of his father's death as the concluding part of the journal. Details in the journal include persecutions of Mormons in Missouri, Osborn's trek to Salt Lake Valley, and Pioneer life in Utah: crops, crickets, weather, family news, illnesses, etc.
